Dahabshiil Bank International (DIB) is a new bank established in the Republic of Djibouti. The bank has been promoted by Dahabshiil Financial Services, which is a household brand in the Horn of Africa and the Diaspora as a leading Money Transfer Operator with more than 1000 branches and agents in over 60 countries around the world.
DBI offers a suite of financial products and services to both retail and corporate customers (more details on products and services are available on www.dahabshilbank.com). The bank is very keen to give a ready access to its traditional customers – Somali people, by opening Representative Offices in major locations within the country. The bank is looking to hire quality staff with experience in banking and customer relations management to run the DBI Representative Offices in Hargaysa, Muqdishu and Bosaaso.
The Rep Office will be responsible for promoting & marketing DBI’s products & services, receiving & facilitating the processing of various customer requests, and managing relations with business communities and local authorities.
The following immediate vacancies exist in the Hargaysa, Muqdishu and Bosaaso Representative Office (1 post each for each responsibility in each Office):
Manager, Rep Office
1. Role
- Manage and lead the Representative Office effectively in order to ensure the achievement of targets and business development objectives, while adhering to Bank’s policies and guidelines and maintaining high quality customer services
- Develop and implement the Representative Office’s marketing, promotions and advertising strategies to ensure the right marketing mix, enhancement of the Bank’s image among target customer segments
2. Candidate profile
- Graduate with a university degree or equivalent, preferably in commercially oriented discipline from a reputable institution.
- 7 to 10 years experience in banking with at least 3 years experience of handling independent management responsibility for a specific banking area.
- Detailed understanding of all banking operations.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Somali. Knowledge of Arabic or French will be an advantage.
- Willing and able to travel within the region.
Rep Office Sales and Operations Executive
1. Role
- Responsible for proving a range of general banking services to business customers to achieve the business goals of the Representative Office.
- Undertake all processing activities within established policies and procedures to support the work accomplishment of the Representative Office
2. Candidate profile
- Graduate, preferably in commercially oriented discipline or Diploma in business related subjects from a reputable institution
- 5-6 years general banking experience with a good understanding of banking practices.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous commercial banking experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Somali. Knowledge of Arabic or French will be an advantage.
