When asked Why Norway: (Senior of Ahmedou Ould-Abdallah's office reponded) - I
think what they want, I think what they would like so that they could do the
coastal shelf, I think what they are trying to do is to get all the courtiers in
Africa to define their coastal shelf, and then they would be able to drill,
because now they cannot drill the coast, once that is defined they can drill. ..
baaaah.... There is international waters, but when country decide when it can
move the coastal shelf where it is.
When asked: State like Somalia, where UN can understand those kind of issues,
where they (Somalia) do not have enough professionals (don't you think that) UN
has a stake?. Ould-Abdallah's office reponded: ....But This is up to Somalis to
say what can be decided. When asked: You know that that is why your office
exists? But our own office exists, and all we can do is.... we are broker... we are
not telling you what to do, if Somalia doesn’t have to, no one can force Somalia
and Kenya. And Somalia can saye we cannot do at the moment, with million other
thing to do, came back in five years time, that what we think. ...
When asked: That
is what Abdullahi Yusuf said.. UN offcice replied: Yes, I do not know why they did. I think they
did not understand. I do not know what is the business.
When asked:
The perception we have here at the Diaspora is that YOU are responsible what
happened.. Walad Abdalla office replied: We know everything is blamed one us...
When pressed: But this is a bigger
decision, we are not talking about small decision, this is a land dispute, coast
dispute, we think you have over looked. The office reponded "I do not know
whether UN can solve land dispute".
